The brand new El Dorado Springs wrestling program and its brand new wrestlers are probably starting to get a reputation – a good one. The go to meets and against bigger schools, older programs and experienced wrestlers, bring home wins.
On Saturday, Dec. 8, Coach Justin Stratton took 14 wrestlers to a tournament in Harrisonville. Of the 14 Bulldog wrestlers, nine placed in the top three in their event.
At 106 lbs. Austin Burlingame took 3rd. In the 113 lb. class, Logan Perrodin came in 2nd. At 126 lbs. Josey Smotherman took 2nd. At 132 lbs. Jacob Boleyn was 2nd. In the 145 lb. class, Tanner Hixson took 1st. At 152 lb. Haden Harper came in 3rd. In the 160 lb. class, James Dubois took 3rd. At 195, Gage Miller came in 1st. At 285, Coty Steward claimed 1st.
FLOYD MILLER WINS CHAMPIONSHIP – Floyd Miller traveled to Battle Creek, MI, on Dec. 8 – 9 wrestling on the PA Storm national dual team where they took 1st place. On Dec 12 -16 he traveled to Richmond, VA, competing with the New Jersey Scorpions against 68 other teams where he went 12-0 for the weekend. He won the individual championship and his team took the championship.
