On Thursday, Dec. 13, the Lady Bulldogs played host to the Stockton Lady Tigers.
The game started out good for the Lady Bulldogs as they jumped to an early four point lead at the end of 1st quarter. The second quarter went back and forth as the Stockton Lady Tigers were able to cut the deficit to 1 by the half.
In the second half the Lady Bulldogs struggled find their scoring touch and had difficulties securing defensive rebounds. This allowed Stockton to push a lead of their own out to 10 with a final score of 54-44.
Leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring on the night was Alexa Schaaf with 14 and Kaili Simmons with 10.
On Monday, Dec. 17, the Lady Bulldogs were once again at home this time hosting the Lady Blackhawks of Adrian.
The Lady Bulldogs came out with better defensive pressure in this game and forced the Lady Blackhawks into some early turnovers and some tough shots which led to several fast break opportunities. At the half the Lady Bulldogs led 35-15.
The second half was a mirror image of the first as the Lady Bulldogs defense continued to step it up in the half court and forced bad passes and missed shots by the Lady Black Hawks.
In the fourth quarter Kaili Simmons stepped to the free throw line and sunk her 1000th point for her career. This capped off the night for the Lady Bulldogs as they finished off the Lady BlackHawks 59-26.
Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Kaili Simmons – 24, Alexa Schaaf – 12, Kameron Schaaf – 6, Kinli Simmons – 6, Rachel Bush – 5, Madison Mays – 2 and Cameron McPeak – 2.
1000th POINT – During the Lady Bulldog game with the Adrian Blackhawk Monday, Dec. 17, at home, Senior Kaili Simmons scored her 1,000th point in her High School career.
