Vivan Koehn, 84, Walker, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, in Cedar County Hospital, El Dorado Springs.
He was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Ingalls, KS, to Abe Koehn and Ida Schmidt Koehn. He was married to Deloris V. Jantz and she preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 1986. He later married Betty Redger and she preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 2006.
Vivan was raised in Kansas and later Fairview, OK. He came to Walker in 1967 where he has lived ever since. Vivan operated a dairy farm for many years and farmed all of his working life. He was a member of the Living Faith Mennonite Church, Walker.
Survivors include three children – Everett Koehn and his wife, Patricia – Buhl, ID, Ron Koehn and his wife, Bonnie – Walker, and Karen Schmidt and her husband, Maynard – Scopia, NE; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Koehn – Brooksville, MS, and one sister, Sadie Koehn – New Plymouth, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, two spouses, three brothers and one grandson.
Services were held Thursday, Dec. 27, in the Living Faith Mennonite Church with interment following in the Living Faith Mennonite Cemetery, Walker.
