Denver Edward Harris Sr., 74, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Dec. 25, 2012. He was born in Van Buren, MO, to Ray and Anna Harris on June 6, 1938.
Denver was well known in this area as owner and manager of Josie’s Café. Denver and his wife, JoAnn, moved to this area from Colorado in April of 2000 and operated Josie’s Café for seven years.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Faith Harris; one sister and two brothers.
Denver is survived by his wife of 26 years, JoAnn, of the home; five sons – Buck Harris – El Dorado Springs, Michael Harris – Shawnee, KS, Denver Harris Jr. and wife, Audrey – Parkville, Bobby Harris and Ronnie Harris; one step-daughter, Sherry Long – El Dorado Springs; one brother, Kenny Harris; four grandchildren – Denver Harris III, Dallas Harris, Steven Lamb, Eddie Lamb and Krista Wiser; six great-grandchildren; a nephew, Marvin Harris; sister-in-law, Claudia Molt, El Dorado Springs and brother-in-law, Willis Haley, Independence, good friends, David, who spent many hours at the hospital, Don, Alice and many other friends and relatives.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Dec. 29, in the First Christian Church with Pastor Jack Daniels officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
