Mt. Zion Home Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to study the Bible with 11 in attendance.

Sympathy to the Kurt Davis Family. Funeral services were Aug. 10, at Rockville United Methodist Church, interment in Appleton City Cemetery.

The Mt. Zion area had a few sprinkles of rain. Could use a whole lot more, the corn fields are turning brown don’t know if it’s the hot dry weather or ready to harvest.

Howard and Dixie Peterson visited Gordon Holland in Camron Saturday. Gordon was having a better day while out they visited Brenda Peterson in Richmond. Recent visitors in their home have been Brenda Peterson, Donnie and Charlene Crayton.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle and Robin have been busy keeping cool.

Wish Donna Harris a speedy recovery after spending several days in a Kansas City Hospital.

Gardens are still producing several ladies; have canned tomatoes and green beans this past week and okra; I think okra is the only plant that loves hot weather.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey are still feeding lots of humming birds. The Pelkey’s and Marge Zink enjoyed lunch in El Dorado Springs.

Julia Snethen spent a quite week at home while John ran his bus route but son, Ron, still won’t let her stay by herself.
