JV Bulldogs find Skyline horizon too big

The El Dorado Springs boys JV basketball team came into the Skyline game on Jan. 4 with a record of two wins and two losses on the year. The two victories were against Warsaw and Buffalo and the two losses were against Stockton and Knob Noster.

The Skyline Tigers ended the first quarter with an 18-8 lead over El Dorado Springs with Lance Moltz leading the Bulldogs in scoring with 4 points. After the second quarter the Tigers increased their lead by 20 with the score 34-14. Jayson Owsley led all Bulldog scorers at the half with 6 points.

At the end of 3 quarters Skyline still led by a score of 44-20 with Blake Cluck adding in three points in the third quarter. At the end of the game Skyline held onto their lead to win by a total score of 60-27.

Lance Moltz led all Bulldog scorers for the night with seven points. Jayson Owsley pitched in with six points, Jakob Studer had five points, Jake Hillsman had four points, Blake Cluck with three, and Spencer Young with two points.

The young Bulldog squad is now 2-3 for the season with an upcoming JV tournament in Butler this week against Butler, Warsaw and Adrian.
