Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will close at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, and will just serve breakfast on Saturday morning, Sept. 8, because of the Schell City Fall festival which is Friday evening, Sept. 7 and Saturday, Sept. 8.

The El Dorado Springs Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star will hold a fundraiser at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center at El Dorado Springs Saturday, Sept. 22. It is located at 500 N. Main but you are to go to the north entrance of Joe Davis St. They will have BBQ ribs or pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, slaw, baked beans, bread, beverage and dessert. It is $10 for adults and $5 for children under sevenin advance. At the door it will be $2 more charge. You can call Dorothy Palmer at 876-7671. Dorothy lives south of Schell City.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, was an overnight guest in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman. They took Jewell to Joplin for her check up for her hip surgery which she had on July 16 at Freeman W. She got a good report. They all had dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City after they came back from Joplin.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 2. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Repentance,” was taken from Joel 1:1-10.

Several from the area attended to 110-mile yard sale on Hwy. 54 from Nevada to Camdenton over the Labor Day holiday.

The Schell City-Harwood area got a much needed rain the past couple of days thru part of the week.
