Fugate Motors Donates to RII boosters 3cc .tif

Last September the El Dorado Springs community stepped up and accepted the challenge from Ford Motor Company and Fugate Ford Motors to raise as much money as possible for the Athletic Booster Club. Through the DRIVE 4 UR SCHOOL program, the Boosters received $5,840, just $160 shy of the maximum of $6,000.

The Sept. 12, 2012, event had over 300 individuals test drive Ford vehicles at the local dealership. For every vehicle test driven, Fugate and Ford donated $20 to the Booster Club. Fugate explained that possible duplication or incomplete forms prevented eight test drives to count.

On Wednesday, Jan.16, Fugate presented the check to the school. Pictured are (from left) High School Principal Dave Hedrick, Booster Club Sec./Treasurer Stacy Fast, Booster Club VP Terri Floyd, Fugate, Athletic Director Bob Ramsey and School Superintendent Mark Koca.

Fugate commented that communities the size of El Dorado Springs usually raise only half the maximum.
