EL DORADO SPRINGS POLICE REPORT

In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 14 – Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle theft at 106 West Olive. Investigation revealed the theft of a maroon, 1991 Chevy Silverado truck, containing several tools, including a black and yellow Dewalt Sawzall, a small black Skillsaw, a small black Hytachi Miter Saw, two yellow 200’ extension cords, a red Hilit Drywall Kitt, a blue and silver Bosch Finish Nailer, a blue and silver Bosch Framing Nailer, a small brown tool bag containing a hammer, tape and knife and various small hand tools. Vehicle was later recovered in Cedar County, however, all of the tools are still missing. Investigation continuing. Arrest: Skylar Z. Walters, 18, El Dorado Springs, charging him with possession of marijuana under 35 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless and reckless driving. He was released on summonses pending court appearance.

Jan 15 – Arrests: Jeremy L DeShazo, 37, El Dorado Springs, on an active Nevada Municipal Court warrant charging him with eight counts of failure to appear on the original charge of no license plates with a cash only bond of $700. He was extradited to the Vernon County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Linda D. Hall-Kopczynski, 52, Stockton, charging her with driving while revoked. She was released on summons pending court appearance.

Officers responded to a reported larceny at 405 South Grand. Investigation revealed the theft of a black, DC Backpack and all of its contents, including a Nintendo 3DS with games and school text books. The property was later recovered and returned to owner. A juvenile suspect has been identified and the investigation continuing.

Officers responded to a reported larceny at 510 North Jackson. Investigation revealed the theft of a Commerce Bank Visa Credit ard. Investigation continuing.

Jan 16 – Arrest: Clifford D. Bryant, 44, El Dorado Springs, on the following active Cass County warrants: Failure to appear on the original charge of speeding with a cash only bond of $250, failure to appear on the original charge of driving while suspended with a cash only bond of $250 and failure to appear on the original charge of failure to register a motor vehicle with a cash only bond of $250. He was issued a summons for driving while sduspended and was extradited to the Cass County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 117 West Martin Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Justin S. Swager, 27, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Third Degree Domestic Assault, with a cash or surety bond of $1,000.00. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Jan 17 – Officers responded to a reported larceny at 115 East US 54 Hwy, Pitt Stop. Investigation revealed the theft of over $1,000 in US currency. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Brad D Wilson, 31, El Dorado Springs, charging him with theft/stealing (value of property or services is $500 or more but less than $25,000) with a cash or surety bond of $2,500. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Jan 18, 20 – Arrest: Byan L Courtney Jr, 22, El Dorado Springs, charging him with two counts of second degree statutory rape and one count of second degree statutory sodomy with a cash or surety bond of $10,000 and the condition that he has no contact with the victim or the victim’s family. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Jan 19 – Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at 321 West Poplar. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Jesse J. Coleman, 21, El Dorado Springs, charging him with third degree domestic assault with a cash or surety bond of $1,000. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Jan 19 – Officers responded to a reported larceny (shoplifting) at 1305 South 32 Hwy, Woods Super Market. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Jason R. Humbird, 36, El Dorado Springs, charging him with larceny under $500 (shoplifting). He was released on summons pending court appearance.

Officers responded to a reported larceny at 100 East US 54 Hwy. Investigation revealed a driver of a red, sedan passenger vehicle, leave the location without paying for $51 of gasoline. Investigation continuing.

Officers responded to a reported larceny at 1511 South Vernon. Investigation revealed the theft of $4,200 in cash. Investigation continuing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to call the El Dorado Springs Police Department at 417-876-TIPS.

Officers responded to a reported peace disturbance at 701 South High. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Trevor G. Gant, 18, El Dorado Springs, charging him with peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending court appearance.
