James E. Vittetoe, 51, Bolivar, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at his residence. He was born Dec. 12, 1961, to James H. and Wilma Vickers Vittetoe in Wichita, KS. The family moved to El Dorado Springs in 1969 where James attended school for nine years.
After moving back to Wichita, James had worked as a manager for Quick Trip Stores. Moving to the Bolivar area, he began working on and repairing vending machines as a technician.
He was of the Baptist faith and had been saved when he was five years old.
He had a big heart and enjoyed helping people, working on automobiles and fixing things. He enjoyed skeet shooting, hunting, participating in Karate Tournaments and teaching karate to youngsters.
James is survived by his parents; sisters, Kathy West and her husband, Mike, and Karen Pettibone and her husband, Jerry – all of Bolivar; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Gravesite services for James Edward Vittetoe were held Monday, Jan. 21, at the Dunnegan Cemetery officiated by Rev. Terry Faulkner under the care and direction of Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar.
