EL DORADO SPRINGS POLICE REPORT

In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 21 – Arrest: Steven A. Horning, 29, El Dorado Springs, on an active Cedar County felony warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charges of two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of theft/stealing of any firearm, four counts of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of harassment with a cash or surety bond of $25,000 and an active Dade County felony warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana with a cash or surety bond of $5,000. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Officers responded to a reported larceny from a motor vehicle at 109 West Lafayette. Investigation revealed the theft of a motor vehicle title belonging to a 1989 GMC, Sierra truck. Investigation continuing.

Officers responded to a reported larceny at to 307 South Summer. Investigation revealed the theft of a small black, Lincoln welder and a lawn mower battery. Investigation continuing. Jan 22 – Officers responded to a reported robbery at 1201 East Patricia, Apt 10. Investigation revealed the theft of several bottles of cologne and further resulted in the arrests of Tyler A. Judah, 21, Nevada, charging him with first degree attempted robbery, second degree assault, first degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action with a cash or surety bond of $50,000 and Louis M. Stockdale, 20, El Dorado Springs, charging him with first degree attempted robbery, second degree assault, first degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action with a cash or surety bond of $20,000. Officers also arrested Caleb Oldenburg, 19, El Dorado Springs, on an active Cedar County misdemeanor warrant charging him with failure to Appear,on the original charges of minor visibly intoxicated and first degree trespassing with a cash only bond of $500. All were extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Jan 30 – Officers responded to a reported larceny at 100 East US 54 Hwy. Investigation revealed a male subject, operating a navy blue Chevrolet Z71, extended cab truck with decals on the back glass, left without paying for $91.06 in gasoline. Iinvestigation continuing. Jan 24 – Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle theft at 700 South High. Investigation revealed the theft of a gray 1999 Dodge Ram, 1500 truck. Vehicle was later recovered in Vernon County. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and investigation continuing.

Jan 25 – Officers responded to a reported larceny at 1301 Greenridge Road, Apt A4. Investigation revealed the theft of a cellular phone. Investigation continuing.

Jan 26 – Arrest Christine R. Roper, 29, El Dorado Springs, on an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant charging her with failure to appear on the original charges of utility tampering and endangering the welfare of a child with a cash or surety bond of $345. She was released on bond pending court appearance.
