This is the time of year when the local Chamber of Commerce asks its members for their yearly dues and actively seeks new members into their ranks. For members, the value of the chamber is evident.

Long time member Cathy Frier of Family Vision Center said, “EDS Chamber of Commerce is an important organization for business and community growth. We are here BECAUSE of the friendly encouragement of the CC extending back in 1978 upon our arrival to ElDo.”

Chamber Executive Director Jackson Tough, experiencing his first chamber membership drive, says, “It is important for all local businesses to be a part of their Chamber of Commerce. As one of our board members, Lance Hedrick, recently told me, ‘A rising tide raises all ships,’ meaning that, a greater and more active Chamber of Commerce benefits everybody.”

Tough said, “The Chamber is the primary advocate for the business community through our various programs. You might say we’re the front porch for El Dorado Springs.”

If you haven’t paid your dues, now’s the time. If you’re not a member of the Chamber, contact Jackson or Sylvia at the Chamber office at 876-4154.
