Get together for Super Bowl at church

About 60 from the Walker Christian Church met at the home of Jerry and Jenise Burch Sunday evening and had a Super Bowl Party.

Norman and Betty Radde went to the senior citizens dinner at Liberal Friday, and to the home of Larry and Betty Plush to watch the Super Bowl Game and join others from the Community Christian Church Sunday night.

Alberta Hays went to Troy to an OES Official Inspection Friday and then to Webster Groves to an Inspection Saturday. Glen Hays went to the ballgames on Friday night and then to the 4-H chili supper Saturday.

The Walker Fire Department has openings for two board members and they must be paid members to run. Contact Alberta Hays at 465-2260 to have names listed on the ballot by Feb. 25.

Bob and Linda Majors, Brad and LouAnn Majors, Madyson and Mason and Chad and Jennie Majors celebrated the 5th birthday of Alexia and Maleia at the Blue Iguana in Nevada Saturday evening after which they went roller skating in El Dorado Springs.

Arlene and Mike Good took Bob Hutchison to the basketball game in El Dorado Springs Friday evening to watch Rilie Good play. Debbie and Denny Wallace visited Bob and Jane Hutchison Sunday afternoon.

Fred Haynes, Chet Foreman and Christine and Corey Graham had lunch with Charles and me Sunday. Phyllis and Bob Garrison met us in Nevada and we attended church together. Brice and Katie Budd visited us Tuesday. Gilbert Willson visited Charles Foreman one day and Gary Vickers visited us one morning this week.

Visiting Bob and Laura Clinton Saturday afternoon were Jodee and Jeff Fanning, Tracy and James Washburn, Declan, Corbin and Jaycee and Lavina and Bob Lee Clinton.

Jared Witter spent the night Saturday evening with Mike and Kathy Newman. They had lunch with Kayla, Cody, Ethan and Jared in El Dorado Springs Sunday after church

Corey Graham and I attended visitor’s day at the Zion Lutheran School at Prairie City Friday morning. Brooklyn and Carter Foreman spent the afternoon with us.

NEVC played two good basketball games at home Friday evening. They won by narrow margins against Hume.
