With Chrismas cards for military

VFW 257 Auxiliary needs your help

The VFW 257 Auxiliary would like to invite businesses, youth groups, civic groups, church groups and individuals to join us in sending Christmas greetings and good wishes to our military. Cards may be purchased or handmade. A great project for a 4-H Club or project meeting, Sunday school classroom, or a classroom at school to fill an “indoor” recess. Or challenge your fellow employees…who can bring in the most cards at work? The more the better.

You may include a note if you like. You may sign your name or not. You may use any medium…crayons, markers, etc. Envelopes are not needed for hand made cards. If you use an envelope please leave the front of it blank. Some cards will stay locally. Some cards will be sent to Walter Reed Medical Center. Please help us remind our veterans that we haven’t forgotten their sacrifice and we remember that freedom isn’t free. Our goal is to collect 250 – 300 cards. With YOUR help, we can do it.

Please drop off the cards during business hours to Althoff Auto Sales on south Hwy. 32. If you have questions, please contact Linda Bartkoski at 876-5068.

The last date to drop off cards is Dec. 14. Please help us reach as many veterans as possible this holiday.
