JV Lady Bulldogs take two at home

The JV Lady Bulldogs were stingy hosts last week, not letting Warsaw on Thursday night and Nevada on Friday night play well with their basketball.

On Thursday, Jan. 31, the JV Lady Dogs hosted the Warsaw Wildcats for two quarters and won 21-8. Leading the way was Cameron McPeak with nine points followed by Becky Jennings with six points. Taylor Witt had three points and Clair Silvers added two points.

Coach Brian Koehler said, “This was an OK game for us. We didn’t really play great defense, but a win is a win.”

On Friday, the JV Lady Bulldogs hosted the Nevada Tigers and won 50-28, Leading the way was Cameron McPeak with 17 points followed by Becky Jennings with 11 points. Kameron Schaaf had eight points. Taylor Witt had seven points, Kinli Simmons had five points. Hannah Kruckenberg had two points.

Coach Koehler said, “This was a great game on both ends of the court. The defense played a big part in this game. This is a big win for us and we hope to carry this for the rest of the JVseason.”

FACING DOWN THE TIGERS – Freshman Lady Bulldog Cameron McPeak brings foot speed to every sport. Friday night at home, she left a JV Lady Tiger kissing the floor as she blazed by. McPeak led her team in scoring Thursday night and Friday night.

PLAYING HARD TO GET – The basketball seemed to enjoy the attention Friday night in the Lady Bulldog’s JV game against Nevada. It appears that Lady Bulldog Taylor Witt was about to gain the ball. Her team gained the victory 50-28.
