Happy birthday to everyone in Walker

Gilbert and Eleanor Willson spent a few days with her sister and husband, Betsey and Lloyd Medearis, at Green Valley, AZ. The Medearis’ joined them for a few days at Laughlin, NV. They came home by the Grand Canyon.

Jack and Sharon Wallace visited Elnora Wallace. Sunday, a young woman and her three little children brought her a plate of goodies for Valentine Day.

Frank and Renee Weisensee hosted a birthday dinner for their son, Rob, for his 40th birthday. They were joined by Rob’s family.

Vernille Cubbage made a birthday cake for Kathryn Phillips and they took it to Ash Place and shared it with a couple of friends.

Sympathy goes to the family of Roy Jones. He used to live in the Walker area when he was younger.

Several attended basketball games at the YMCA Saturday from this area including Lorna Jo Digherio and several members of her family, Jenise Burch, Jered and Crystal Burch, Kate and Cole, Chet Foreman, Christine and Corey Graham, and me.

Bob and Jane Hutchison went to the home of Debra and Denny Wallace in Nevada Sunday for lunch and to help Denny celebrate his birthday. Others present were Valerie and Eddie Hardie, Coltin, Paxton and Jayna.

Jenise Burch and Marty Patton attended the DAR program at the First Christian Church in Nevada Sunday afternoon where the awards were given out to the area students for their essays and Good Citizen Awards.

Glen and Alberta Hays spent most of last week at NEVC at ballgames for the GVVCC tournament. They went to Branson Saturday for an Official Inspection and then ate supper at Golden Corral with a roomful of OES friends and came back home. Quinton Hays spent night Friday night with them. Tuesday night Glen and Alberta went to Lamar as Retha Squires, Past Grand Matron received her 50 year pin.

John and Patty Hallam spent the weekend in Kansas City with their children and grandchildren.

Sunday dinner guests of Mike and Kathy Newman were Debbie Jensen, Susie Thompson, Ernest Nikodim, Cody and Kayla Lloyd and Ethan and Jared Witter.

The Walker Fire Department has openings for two board members and they must be paid members to run. Contact Alberta Haysat 465-2260 to have names listed on the ballot by Feb. 25.

Tracy Washburn and Jaycee visited Lisa Coulter and family near Filley Sunday afternoon.

Wendy and Brandon Conley and Garrett of Pleasanton, KS, hosted a birthday for their son and brother, Coltin Wilson, Sunday afternoon. Attending from this area were Chet Foreman, Katie Budd and Brice, Christine Graham and Corey, David Foreman, Brooklyn and Carter and Charles and me. Others attending were Linda Conley, C. J. and Candie Conley, Tina and Mike Wiebethaus, Josh and Holly Rushing, Addison and Rhyder, Betty and Roy Johnston, Cindy Curtis, Kylie and Katie, Colby Gibbs, Heather Baldwin, Dawson, Bradon, Lincoln, and Hudson. Brylan Fortman and Marilyn and Bethany Michels.

Marla Foreman and Regan Kannady attended volleyball games in Lee’s Summit this weekend.
