Lady Bulldogs shoot down Butler Bears

On Tuesday, Feb. 5, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lady Bears of Butler.

The game went back and forth in the first quarter with the Bulldogs taking an early two-point lead. In the second quarter, the Lady Bulldogs were able to take advantage of some Butler turnovers and push their lead out to 11, taking a 35-24 score into the half. The Lady Bulldogs continued their push throughout the second half taking the victory with a 69-47 advantage.

Leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring was Alexa Schaaf 26, Rachel Bush 13 and Kaili Simmons 9.

Thursday night the Lady Bulldogs headed to Skyline to take on the Lady Tigers.

The first quarter was very sloppy for both teams as they struggled to run their offenses and scoring was very scarce. Skyline took an early lead at the end of the first, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to come back in the second with great defense and timely scoring and took a six-point lead into the locker-room at the half.

In the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs played very tight turning the ball over six times which led to Skyline baskets. At the end of the third, Skyline connected on a deep three at the buzzer to give them a two-point lead. The fourth quarter was hard fought, but the Lady Bulldogs were unable to ever get their lead back and lost to the Lady Tigers by a final score of 38-41.

Leading the lady Bulldogs in scoring was Alexa Schaaf 12 and Kameron Schaaf 11.
