Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, went to Madalyn’s kitchen, south of Schell City, and ate at her Christmas dinner Thursday, Dec. 20. She had a good meal. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and Madalyn took pictures of us with them.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist church Sunday, Dec. 23. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Philippians 2. They had a covered dish dinner after church and then they went Christmas caroling in the community. A member brought his trailer and the rode around in it.

Ruth Ijams’ two girls, Peggy O’Brien, who lived with her and Jeanie O’Brien, who lived next door to her, were Christmas Day dinner guests. We went to church with Ruth and Jeanie before the Methodist Church changed and we really miss visiting with them.

The area had a little bit ore rain this past week. We were lucky that it is not cold enough to freeze. We had no white Christmas.

Jewel and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, attended the Christmas Eve service at the Grace United Methodist Church in El Dorado Springs Monday evening, Dec. 24.

Madalyn Crocker and her husband, Chris, and their family had Christmas dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City. Their two sons, Galvin and Mandy Crocker, and two boys, and Tony Crocker, were there and Madalyn’s brother and family were there. It was held on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

Christmas Day dinner guest in the home of Jon Sr. and Judith Caudle were Jeff Caudle and family of Quincy, and Jon Jr. Caudle and family of Harwood.

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City will open Thursday, Jan. 3, after being closed for the New Year and she is always closed on Wednesday. She will open at her regular time on Thursday morning.
