Murder suspect apprehended

On Saturday, Feb. 9, Cedar County Sheriff’s Corporal Bobby McAntire received information from Vernon County Sheriff Office of a murder suspect living within Cedar County, according to a press release from Chf. Leon Dwelkotte.

Corporal McAntire and Deputy Josh King with the assistance of the Missouri Highway Patrolman Rice went to a residence near the northeast part of Cedar County where they apprehended the suspect, Jeremy Maples, without incident while Maples attempted to escape from the rear of the residence.

Corporal McAntire transported Maples and turned him over to the Vernon County Sheriff Office on their charges.
