A vehicle remains in Sac River at Vilhauer Bluff (Hwy. W) where Sergeant Gary Riggs said Tuesday it appears to have been pushed by another vehicle about two weeks ago.
A witness saw a pickup backed up to the vehicle and called the Highway Patrol. When Patrolman Quinton Bland arrived, the people were gone and so was the car. From tire tracks at the scene, it appeared that the people had removed the wheels from the car and used the pickup to push it into Sac River.
Sgt. Riggs said that last week a wrecker unsuccessfully attempted to remove the vehicle which is on its top in the river.
He said a dive team was scheduled to attempt to remove the vehicle from the river on Wednesday, March 6.
