Connie Locke was a lunch guest in the home of her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, at Nevada Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Janice Flint of Harwood passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, at her home. Funeral services were held Monday morning, Feb. 25, at the First Baptist Church at El Dorado Springs with burial at the Green Lawn Cemetery at Schell City under the direction of Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home. The community extends sympathy to the family.

Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Feb. 24. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon, “A Disciple’s Path,” taken from Matthew 6:5-15 and Luke 18:13. It was the second Sunday of Lent. Lenten study this year will be a look at the “Christian Doctrines We Believe.” This will be incorporated into the Sunday worship service. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “Spiritual Disciplines For New Life” taken from Colossians 4:2-6.
Margret Ann Haddix of The Woodlands, TX, had a pacemaker put in Wednesday, Feb. 27. She is staying a few days with her daughter and husband, John and Judy Gwyn. Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Connie Locke had dinner at Dave’s Diner at El Dorado Springs Monday, Feb. 25. Jewell went to the doctor.
Rozella Gammon attended a fish fry at the home of Jim and Lois Herbst of El Dorado Springs. Others there were Jim and Jeannie Ogle – El Dorado Springs, and Bob and Jane Hutchison – Walker Saturday, March 2.
