FOUR POINTS SISTERHOOD SCHOLARSHIP – The Four Points Sisterhood Scholarship is a program unique to the Miss Cedar County Pageant. Each contestant is asked to write an essay addressing a question asked by the next to last Miss Cedar County, in this case Miss Cedar County 2007 Sydney Friar. The question was, “The Miss America Organization is often criticized for being out of touch, out of date and irrelevant. What do you thing the Miss America Organization can and should be doing to help the general public realize the relevance of this organization?”
This scholarship is funded with donations from former Miss Cedar Counties and they are the ones that vote for the winner. This year the scholarship was worth $275.
Jacklyn Muff received the scholarship and a commemorative plaque which was presented by Pageant Emcee Nathan Vickers and Miss Cedar County 2012 Lauren Alumbaugh Wilkins.
This is the first year the scholarship has been awarded. The name is taken from the four points of the Miss America crown which represent style, service, scholarship and success.
