Wal-Mart believes in operating globally and giving back locally; creating impact in the neighborhoods where we live and work. Through the Local Giving Program, Wal-Mart stores, Sam’s Clubs and Logistics facilities can support the needs of their communities by providing grants to local organizations. Bailee Bybee, a senior at El Dorado Christian, wrote a grant through the Wal-Mart giving program for her school to help promote technology in the classroom. Bailee was awarded $500 to spend on Kindles and books for the classroom. She was able to purchase five Kindles which were distributed throughout the school. Teachers will be able to purchase books for the Kindles that they feel will benefit their students.
