Rockville Sunrise Services was hostess by Rockville United Methodist Church with James Damon from River of Life giving the message a bountiful breakfast was enjoyed by all in the fellowship hall following the service.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home held at 7 p.m. with 10 in attendance to study the Bible.

The Mt. Zion Club met Wednesday in the Marge Zink home with 11 members present. Before lunch the ladies tack lap robes, after lunch the meeting was held. Roll call was favorite spring flowers. Julia gave the secretary report. Beverly gave the treasure report. Bingo was afternoon entertainment. May meeting will be in the Beverly Pelkey on May 15, so will our auction, mark your calendars.

We wish a speedy recovery to Wilma Williams after her surgery.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey kept Tom’s appointment in Warrensburg Monday; while Beverly was feeding the cats she noticed she had three new kittens. Tom is enjoying mowing the lawn with the new mower. Tom and Beverly went to El Dorado Springs shopping. The humming birds have returned to the Mt. Zion area; fields are planted, gardens are growing, neighbors finding mushrooms and asparagus is starting to produce.

Mitchell Crawford visited in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home, he was successful in bagging a turkey. Howard and Dixie enjoyed Easter dinner in the Mike and Stacy Griffith and Marge Zink home.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm Belle got two Easter presents, Ruby the cow hand Romeo and one of the hens hide a nest and came in with twelve baby chickens. Now Belle has something to care for, even forgot about the Easter Bunny.

John and Julia Snethen spent a quite week at home, except for John’s bus route.
