The Cedar County Ambulance District board will hold a special meeting beginning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the El Dorado Springs Ambulance Barn.
The purpose of this special meeting is to address four items of business from the 3/18/13 meeting so they can be handled in a timely manner.
On the agenda:
1. Approval and payment of bills presented 3/18/2013
2. 2012 Auditor approval
3. CDs & FDIC limit
4. Surplus equipment
The scheduled Monday, March 18, meeting in El Dorado Springs convened with John Wilson, vice chairman, presiding in the absence of Chairman Leroy Sousley.
Wilson immediately announced that no meeting notice had been posted at the Stockton facility and that the meeting notice on the door of the El Dorado Springs ambulance barn did not include the tentative agenda as he said is required. Wilson said that to continue would violate the Missouri Sunshine Law.
He made a motion, seconded by Robert Matney, to adjourn. Yes votes were those two plus Don Fugate and Wes Spinks. Sue Rice abstained.
Rice said after the meeting that she would not sign checks to pay the bills because the bills were not approved.
