Saturday’s severe thunderstorm warning for Stockton Lake prompted American Bass Anglers three o’clock weigh-in to move quickly. Ten anglers brought 5-fish limits to the scales. Topping the leaderboard was Eric Craft with 12.77 lbs. Second place went to Lucas Fornelli with 11.12lbs; 3rd place was Scott Tassi with 10.19. Fornelli took Big Bass with a 4.51 lber.

With the water level up nine feet, there was plenty of water in the bushes. Most anglers reported catching their fish out of those bushes. The difficulty was getting the fish out of the brush and into the boat. This phrase was heard several times: “I had number 5 on at least 7 times, but could not get it to the boat.”

This was one of a series of D126 tournaments, all held on Stockton Lake. The next tournament is June 15, 2019. A full 2019 schedule can be seen at www.centralmidwestbass.com along with the full results of previous tournaments with pictures of many of the anglers. There are also results with pictures of other ABA Divisions from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

D126 is a national draw circuit designed for the week-end angler. Boaters and non-boaters from age 14 are encouraged to compete. ABA membership is $35/year; entry fee is $70 with a $10 Big Bass option pot. Read more about American Bass Anglers at www.americanbassanglers.com. Call Becky with any questions at 316 644-1454.
