The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women met Wednesday evening, April 10, at Madalyn’s Kitchen for their regular monthly meeting. Those present were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Madalyn Crocker, Frances Lewis, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams and Sharon Sterling. Helen Ellerman president conducted the business meeting. She gave the devotion taken from Luke 12:4-12. Pastor Locke read from the prayer calendar and had prayer. The purpose of UMW was repeated in unison. The card chairman reported sending several card. They are getting ready for their rummage sale but they do not know for sure when it will be. Madalyn Crocker had the lesson “Telling The Story.” Jeanie O’Brien red Matthew 28:16-20. Everyone brought refreshments which consisted of summer sausage, cheese, crackers, pizza, chips, relish dish, cinnamon rolls, deviled eggs, lasagna, iced tea and coffee. The next meeting will be May 15 at 6 p.m. at Madalyn’s Kitchen with Sharon Sterling leading the lesson and everyone will bring refreshments.

Connie Locke had lunch with her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, at Nevada Saturday, April 13, and again on Sunday, April 14.

Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, April 14, were Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary Joe Dunn and Gayle Grinder.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist church Sunday, April 14. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon “Teach Me to Pray” was taken from Luke 11:1-13.

For church service at the Schell City United Methodist church Sunday, April 14, Jeanie O’Brien showed the movie, Joshua, as their Pastor Connie Locke went to a retreat.
