Darrell Ray Hoffman, 64, of Stockton, passed away April 11, 2013, in the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; two children, Angela Hoffman – Springfield and Jennifer O’Brien – Excelsior Springs; four grandchildren – Corey, Claire, Jack and Alex; four brothers – Donald Hoffman and wife, Brenda – Pago Pago, American Samoa, Kenneth Dean Hoffman and wife, Pam – Sheldon, Michael Hoffman and wife, Kathy – El Dorado Springs and David Hoffman and his wife, Jennifer – Goodland; step-sister, Vicky White – Joplin; step-brother, William MacFarland, and wife, Kate – El Dorado Springs; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annabell Moore Hoffman; his father, Glenn Hoffman, and step-mother, Lou Ann Hoffman.
Darrell is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served three years in the Army. He grew up in Wamego, KS, and later moved to El Dorado Springs. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 8820 in Montrose.
Services were held Monday, April 15, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, with Bro. Everett Smith officiating. Paula Newman provided music. Darrell was laid to rest at the Hamby Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Corey Hoffman, Jack O’Brien, Kenny Dean Hoffman, Mike Hoffman, David Hoffman, Joe Haines, Paul Haines and Nathan Magers.
