Mt. Zion Home Bible Study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with nine in attendance.
Had enough rain in the Mt. Zion area that my rain barrel is overflowing for the first time in a year or so, pond is full and creek is overflowing.
Mt. Zion Community Club met April 17 with Beverly Pelkey hosting. Time was spent tacking lap robes for Vets and cutting material for the hostess. A delicious carry-in dinner was enjoyed, the men were basking in their glory of fools that the women making artificial rain. This month is was Mother Nature making the rain and she didn’t fool around. It really rained hard when we left.
It is very nice to see the ponds full and the creek too.
The VFW Post 11242 Ladies Auxiliary wanted to thank everyone who has donated to our quilt projects. We have received nice material, big pieces and rolls of batting. We really have a good time working it up.
Robin and Mabel Siegismund enjoyed Sunday dinner with the Phillip Siegismund family. Mattie had attended the all night school prom. Robin is waiting for her next class of goat kids.
Margie Siegismund went to Kansas City to the dentist recently.
June Marshall is being busy being June, visiting and trying to complete household projects.
Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home were Kent, Mitchel and Jodi Crawford and Donnie Crayton.
Sunday family dinner guest in the Stanley and Marge Zink were Benda Peterson, Wanda Speake, Howard and Dixie Peterson, Stacy and Mike Griffith, Betty and Larry Teel.
Julia Snethen and Cheryl Farrell went to Jasper to garage sales and then on to Scammon, KS. to visit with Judy and Vicki Clifton, Norma and Ron Klor and their family.
