Rochelle and Dan Borgaila, Chloie, Isabella and Jacob Zane of Council Bluff, NB, visited her parents, Diane and Allen Martin. They attended Founder’s Day at Cottey. This was Rochelle’s 20th year reunion.
Saturday evening supper guests of Lloyd and Lois McGraw were Vernon and Misty McGraw, Tiffany and ReAnna and Rusty McGraw.
Thursday, Julie Gardner and Jaycee Washburn visited Grandma Laura and Grandpa Bob Clinton while Tracy Washburn hunted mushrooms.
Last Sunday, Lavina Clinton, Laverna Rice and John hunted mushrooms, but didn’t find many. However, Jeff and Jodee Fanning visited their secret mushroom spot and found lots.
Madyson and Mason Majors spent Friday night and Saturday with their grandparents, Bob and Linda Majors.
Declan and Corbin Washburn visited Grandma Laura and Grandpa Bob Clinton Saturday.
Cathy Hissink brought Fred Haynes to visit Charles Foreman Thursday afternoon.
Sympathy goes to Frank and Renee Weisensee and family upon the death of his sister, Elsie Nelson. Elsie lived in the Walker area for many years, but moved to Colorado about a year ago. Her husband, Curtis Nelson, survives.
Quade and Quinton Hays visited Glen and Alberta Hays Sunday afternoon. Glen and Alberta went to Schell City Saturday evening and watched their granddaughter, Payton, walk in at Prom but so did several other people with their relatives. There was a huge crowd according to Alberta.
Patty and John Hallam enjoyed their children and grandchildren visiting from Kansas City over the weekend.
Jenise Burch, Tina Keightley, Crystal Burch and I enjoyed attending the Thalia Tasting Tea in Nevada Sunday afternoon. Afterwards, we attended the Elizabeth Carey Chapter of Daughters of the Revolution Memorial Service held at the Methodist Church in Nevada. Helen Marie Newland Kennedy, a former Walker woman, was one of the members remembered.
James and Tracy Washburn, Declan, Corbin, and Jaycee went fishing Sunday afternoon.
Corey Graham and Carter Foreman spent Friday with Charles and me. Charles and I made a trip to Joplin Wednesday.
NEVC 2013 school events scheduled are several makeup baseball and softball events. You’ll have to contact the school to see if they can actually be held because of the weather. Some of the events: Baccalaureate May 8 at 7 p.m. at high school and graduation at high school May 11 at 6 p.m. High School awards banquet May 13 at 6 p.m. Spring Concert at Schell May 14 at 7 p.m. Reading Award Event at Walker May 15 at 7:30 and last day of school is May 22—unless we have more days to make up.
