Howard McPeak takes his turn at the 72-hour Bible reading in the Park Bandstand on Tuesday morning. When McPeak started his turn at 9:40 a.m. the previous reader had left a little of the last chapter of Deuteronomy. McPeak finished up the book and started on Joshua.
The community reading, sponsored by the Ministerial Association, will conclude on Thursday, May 2. Community volunteers will read 24 hours a day in 20-minute increments until the last reader reads the last words of the Book of Revelation.
