Betty and Norman Radde went to Liberal Friday to the Senior Citizens dinner
Sunday afternoon, Tracy and Jaycee Washburn watched the race with Grandpa Bob Lee and Grandma Lavina Clinton. Tracy reports Jaycee has her first two front teeth.
Sympathy goes to the family of Gladys Harden Newby who died this week. She was a member of the Walker High School Class of 1951.
Jenise Burch attended the State DAR Conference Friday through Sunday with six other Elizabeth Carey Chapter members.
Wendy and Brandon Conley and Garrett, and Coltin Wilson visited Charles and me Sunday evening.
Marty and Rich Patton met Ashley and Tony Patton Friday night and picked up Jessa to spend the weekend at their house for the first time without her parents. Sunday evening they met them to send her home. Tony and Ashley were celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary this weekend.
Joey, Jeremy and Heidi Gayman visited their grandmother, Karen Hutchison and went to church with her Sunday. Cameron Parrish spent Friday night at his aunt Karen’s house.
Jack and Sharon Wallace, Suzanne Prough, and Danniele McWilliams visited Elnora Wallace this week.
Chet and Marla Foreman, Regan Kannady, and Vonnie Main made a trip to Nebraska where they visited Marla’s brother and family.
Saturday, Eleanor Willson took her granddaughters shopping at the Lee’s Summit Mall Saturday.
Riley Murray spent Friday evening with Kate Burch. Cole Burch spent Friday evening with Lincoln and Trinnade Hughes and Cael. Saturday, Crystal Burch took Kate, Riley and Cole to Joplin. Saturday evening, Crystal and Jered Burch, Kate and Cole and Jerry Burch attended the movie Home Run.
The Walker 4-H met Sunday afternoon at the Vernon County Fairgrounds in Nevada. The next 4-H meeting will be June 9 at the Walker Community Building and the club tour will be June 23.
Debbie and Denny Wallace visited Bob and Jane Hutchison Saturday afternoon. They went eat supper at El Dorado Springs.
Gilbert and Eleanor Willson attended the music show at Fort Scott Sunday afternoon.
Christine and Corey Graham and Charles and I went to Pittsburg to Chicken Mary’s for dinner Sunday after which we went to the Prairie State Park near Liberal and saw the buffalo. The Visitor’s Center is only open from 10-4 Tuesday through Saturday.
NEVC 2013 school events scheduled are: Baccalaureate May 8 at 7 p.m. at high school and graduation at high school; May 11 at 6 p.m. High School awards banquet; May 13 at 6 p.m. Spring Concert at Schell; May 14 at 7 p.m. Reading Award Event at Walker; May 15 at 7:30 and last day of school is May 22—unless we have more snow days to make up.
