The Cedar County Commission met September 30, 2019. Present were: Marion Collins, Presiding Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; Robert Foster, Southern Commissioner; Heather York, County Clerk

Approved Commission Minutes for September 23, 2019.

Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 24735-24741, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Met with Grant Nelson, Jeff Nelson, Derek Phillips, Stanton Rains, Charles Cummings

Grant requests to relocate his fence 30’ from the CR1774, trading one side of ditch for another. This would allow Nelson’s to utilize the land that they own without restricting access to Corp ground. Commissioner Collins says there will be a recording transfer necessary once the project is completed but will require the commissioner’s approval first. Corp requests Nelson’s leave survey monuments untouched. Motion by Foster to allow Nelson’s to build the road up, second by Boultinghouse. Collins -Yes, Boultinghouse – Yes, Foster – Yes.

Grant Nelson requests the hill on CR1774 be maintained to the bottom. Charles Cummings, Dogwood Special Road Commissioner, will have rock put on CR1774 when FEMA money starts coming in as this is part of the FEMA project.

Met with Sheriff James McCrary Weekly Report of Inmate Housing: Out of County – 55, Cedar – 10 = 65

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor Discussed Myers Bridge project, CR1101, CR220, CR1125, and CR1025.

Signed SEMA application for FEMA DR-4451.

Commission reviewed monthly reports from Prosecuting Attorney Office, and minutes from CCMH.

Commission reviewed payment requests submitted to the Treasurer for discretionary funds by elected officials.

Bills were approved.
