We were a very young team and look for good things in the future. Of the 10 athletes we took, 5 were freshmen, 2 were sophomores, one junior and 2 seniors. We will miss Hannah Bruggemann and Elizabeth Clark next year as the lone seniors making it to the state meet. Hannah is going on to run cross country and track at Drury University in Springfield and Elizabeth Clark plans on going on and playing softball at Fort Scott Community College. We want to wish them the best of luck.

The 4 x 800 which included Rachel Bush, Elizabeth Clark, Tessa Durnell and Cameron McPeak finished 11th, improving their best time of the year by 18 seconds to a time of 10:19, just 5 seconds off of the school record. The boys’ 4 x 400 meter relay, made up of Landen Smith, Lance Molz, Richard Lyness, and Heath Sutton improved their best time of the year by 4 seconds, running 3:34. Cameron McPeak ran a solid 800 meter run with a time of 2:30. Heath Sutton ran his fastest time of the year in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.15 seconds. We had Lance Molz run in the 200 meter dash and Hannah Bruggemann run the 3200 meter run.
