Connie Locke visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, at Nevada Tuesday, May 28.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, June 2, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary Joe Dunn and Gayle Grinder.
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, June 1. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “Submitting to be More Vile” taken from Isaiah 6:1-8 and Matthew 8:16-20. It was Communion Sunday and the second Sunday after Pentecost. Happy birthday was sung to Jeanie O’Brien. Items were brought for community outreach. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson, “Holy, Holy, Holy” taken from Isaiah 6:18.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church June 2. Ron Hedrick of Amsterdam was the guest speaker. His sermon “Be Careful What You Say” was from James 1:1-12. They held their first Sunday dinner.
