Connie Locke visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, at Nevada Monday, June 3.
David O’Brien of Texas came Friday, June 7, to spend some time with his mother, Ruth Ijams, and other relatives.
Connie Locke, pastor of the Schell City United Methodist Church, and Jeanie O’Brien attended the Missouri Annual Conference of the United Methodist Churches at the Expo Center at Springfield Friday, June 7, through Monday, June 10.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, June 9, were Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary Joe Dunn, Gayle Grinder, Eternity Dunn and Brent Bond.
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, June 9. Pastor Connie Locke was gone to the annual conference. Helen Ellerman led the worship part of the service and then Shannon Gray showed films and gave a talk about her trip to China last summer. Her mother, Paula, and brother, Clayton, were with her. Happy birthday was sung to Helen Ellerman. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien, the teacher, was gone, so everyone took part in the lesson “Give Thanks,” taken from Isaiah 12:1-6.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, June 9. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon “Fellowship,” was taken from I John 1:1-4.
