Mt. Zion Home Bible study met in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey’s at 7 p.m. We had nine in attendance. Everyone is welcome to join us.
The Mt. Zion Community Club will meet June 19 for the annual picnic. Picnic will be hosted by Roberta Dines at her home in Hickory Courts, Appleton City.
Bill Marshall has been giving June Marshall’s house a face lift doing some repairs. June spent a few days with her sister, Doris, in Nevada.
Howard and Dixie Peterson attended Howard’s high school reunion Saturday in Osceola. They visited the Crawford Deer Camp.
Mark your calendars for the Rockville United Methodist Church Quilt Show Oct. 19 at the Church Fellowship Hall. Along with the Quilt show will be the Country Store, the Duckless Duck Pond, food and something new. A bed turning. Looking forward to seeing your quilt in our quilt Show Oct 19.
Was nice weather for the Osceola school reunion. Took the whole weekend to celebrate. Lots of actives, so nice to see everyone, Mr. and Mrs Shull especially. The quilt show had lots of pretty quilts and was well attended. Lots of work went into making it a success. Thanks to the Osceola High School Alumni Association. Saw several young faces attending this year; but when you get my age there are several young people.
Arthur and Bea Gordon and Marge Zink enjoyed lunch Friday after hanging quilts at the Lowy City Farmers Exchange.
Bob and Sheri Suster attended the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary Convention in Springfield.
Karen Dodson and children visited in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home.
Julia Snethen spent the past week in Texas, helping to prepare for her sons wedding.
