The El Dorado boys basketball team had a busy first week of the new year. The week started with a conference home game against Warsaw. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead but the Wildcats crawled back to take a 27-25 halftime lead. The Bulldogs turned up the intensity on the defensive end and only allowed 16 points in the second half. Offensively they had a 35 point fourth quarter and won the game 69-43. Brayden Housh led all scorers with 15. Ian Esry added 13 and Preston Robison and Clayton Collins had 11.

The Bulldogs then traveled to Butler to play their second conference game of the week. This time Butler got off to a hot start holding an early 10 point lead. The Bulldogs crawled back into the game and were down 31-28 at the half. El Dorado took the lead in the third quarter and held on to win 62-61. Ian Esry led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Brayden Housh had 13 and Clayton Collins 11. 

The final game of the week was court warming against Skyline. Skyline came into the game as the number four ranked team in class 2. The Bulldogs played an excellent first quarter and trailed 13-15 at the end of the first. Skyline slowly built a lead over the second and third quarters and won the game 77-53. Ian Esry led the scoring with 16 points. Trevyn Garringer had 12 and Gaven Morgan added 10. 

El Dorado is currently 5-5 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. They continue their season this week at the Skyline Tournament.
