In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 97 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 13-19. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 14, Animal Control 16, Assist Other Agencies 12, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 54, Summons 4.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 13, 2020, officer responded to 1109 South Jackson, Lion’s Club, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a 30 pound propane bottle, chorine test strips, napkins and some paper ware. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 14, 2020, officers responded to 1314 South Missouri 32 Highway, Pizza Hut, in reference to a reported stolen vehicle. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Patricia J. Perkins, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers completed a probable cause statement. Officer received a Cedar County Warrant charging Perkins with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle with a $5000.00 bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance. Officer also arrested Joseph E. Baros, 17, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of 2nd Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. Baros was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 15, 2020, officer responded to 401 East Fields Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of approximately $50.00 in coins and approximately $50.00 of food stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 15, 2020, officers responded to 108 West Pine concerning a reported burglary. This investigation revealed the theft of several tools. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 15, 2020, officers responded to 601 East Joe Davis concerning a reported Domestic Assault. This investigation resulted in the arrest of Tyler P. Poore, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Assault. Poore was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 15, 2002, officer responded to 114 Winner Road concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a red electric scooter. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 16, 2020, officer responded to 309 East Hayden Street, Home Furnishing LLC, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of boxes of glass ware and shot glasses. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 17, 2020, officers responded to 403 South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a pair of gray and black mud boots. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 17, 2020, officers arrested Adam D. Kruse, 38, of El Dorado Springs on an active Municipal Warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of ATVs prohibited, with a $75.50 bond. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On January 18, 2020, officer responded to 217 West Spring concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of three adult sized porch swings and gas cans. Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 19, 2020, officers responded to 500 South Main Street, First Baptist Church, concerning a report of tampering with a motor vehicle and trespassing. Juvenile suspects were identified and referred to the Juvenile Office.
