Chicory, the pretty purple flowers that grow along the roadside is pretty, noticed the corn is sure growing fast.

Do hope everyone enjoyed the 4th of July, the Rockville Methodist Church quilters did; we did our usual quilting and enjoying a break at 2:30.

John and Julia Snethen enjoyed the 4th at Rick Hill and on Saturday night the Pam Tillis Concert which was exceptional.

Our sympathy to the families of Justin Stephan and Marylyn Dines. Funeral services were held the past week.

In regards to the old pictures in the Sun Newspaper, July 4, Darrel French and Carl Herring are deceased and Warren Stephens lives in rural Appleton City on the farm.

Glad June Marshall is back home after a week’s vacation with daughter, Jane, in Florida. While there, Bill installed a chair lift, as Jane’s house is 16 steps up. June is busy finishing up the messes at her house; June said, “The mess was still here when she got back”.

Recent visitor in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home has been Brenda Peterson. Howard and Dixie visited Eric Peterson in Butler, while dinning out they saw Kent Crawford, Hallie, and Nick. Howard is busy bailing hay and Dixie is being the go for.
