Sally Ann (Clonts) Troyer, 85, of El Dorado Springs, passed away in Cedar County Memorial Hospital on Monday morning, Feb. 10, 2020.  Sally was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Sullivan, MO, the daughter of Bert and Ellen Clonts.

Sally has been a resident at Community Springs Healthcare Facility for the past 7 1⁄2 years.

Sally was a 1952 graduate from El Dorado Springs High School.  On Dec. 27, 1953, she married the love of her life, Forrest Ray Troyer, a marriage of 66 plus years.

As a new bride, Sally traveled with Forrest to several Air Force bases during his time in the service.  To this union two children were born, Janet Lee and Kenneth Dean.

Sally was raised in the El Dorado Springs Presbyterian Church and was a Sunday School teacher for years.  She and Forrest then joined and became involved in the First Christian Church of El Dorado Springs.

Sally had several jobs while raising her family, including International Shoe Factory, Hendrick’s Insurance, Dunbrooke Shirt Factory, Fugate Ford, the El Dorado Springs School District, from which she retired after working as payroll clerk and school board secretary for 24 years.

Sally enjoyed her work in the community by being involved in school activities, the Progress Club and Friends of the Library.

Preceding Sally in death were: her son, Kenneth Dean; her parents, Bert and Ellen Clonts; two brothers, Charles and Robert Clonts; and one sister, Mary Lou Clonts.

Sally is survived by her husband, Forrest Ray Troyer; daughter, Janet Lee Swopes, (Joe) of Bella Vista, AR; one sister, Kay Anderson, of Greenwood, MO; three step-grandchildren – Cody Swopes (Rachael), Caitlin DeVillers (Phil), and Hannah De Simio (Angelica); four step-great-grandchildren – Willa, Tinnegan, Evajean and Price; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery with Rev. Jack Daniel officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Springs Healthcare and left at the funeral home.
