LAND O LAKES YOUTH FAIR AWARDS – On Friday evening, at the conclusion of the 2013 Land O Lakes Youth Fair, all the winners were individually called into the ring and honored for their accomplishements during the 2013 fair, The showmanship winners each received a chair thanks to Heritage State Bank with the cost to the bank being about equal to purchasing four animals, according to Bank President Todd Leonard. RESERVE CHAMPION HEIFER – Morgan Toliver’s reserve champion heifer at the 2013 Land O Lakes Youth Fair earned him a $635 premium from Mid Missouti Bank represented by Lance Hedrick.

RESERVE CHAMPION STEER – honors for the 2013 Land O Lakes Youth Fair went to Travis Foreman. In the auction Friday night, Nevada Sale Barn/MO KAN Livestock Auction, represented by Bill Nance, paid Travis a $610 premium.

RESERVE CHAMPION GOAT – Cheyenne Lame had the reserve champion market meat goat but could not sell it in the auction because she also had the grand champion, which did go through the premium only auction.

RESERVE CHAMPION RABBITS – Gabe Foster exhibited the reserve champion rabbits at the 2013 Land O Lakes Youth Fair. St. Clair County State Bank entered the top bid to pay him a $200 premium. Staci Neal, Osceola, posed with the winner and his sale ring assistants.

RESERVE CHAMPION SHEEP – Lance Hedrick, representing Mid Missouri Bank, offered the top bid to pay Glen VanBummel a $310 premium for his reserve champion sheep at the 2013 Land O Lakes Youth Fair.

RESERVE CHAMPION SWINE – Friday night, Stephanie Quinlan, H&R Block, entered the top bid of a $370 premium to Schaeffer Johnson for his reserve champion swine.

NO STRESS HERE – This exhibitor checked his eyelids for light leaks for about 30 minutes or longer while he awaited his turn to run his animal through the auction ring at the Land O Lakes Youth Fair Friday night.

RESERVE CHAMPION CHICKENS – Gage Fergerson had the reserve champion chickens but could not put them through the auction because he also had the grand champion chickens. An exhibitor is only allowed to have one entry in the auction.

GRAND CHAMPION STEER – Claire Silvers exhibited the grand champion steer at the Land O Lakes Youth Fair last week. Friday night Emily Mehl, United Country Realtors, had the top bid to pay her a $750 premium.

GRAND CHAMPION HEIFER - Kevin McCullough, Evans Drugs, paid to $500 premium to Tristan Minehart on his grand champion heifer at the LOL Youth Fair Auction. The total sale this year was $25,805.00 and $6,245.00 in add on monies donated directly for the exhibitors.

GRAND CHAMPION RABBITS – Nance Auction Service entered the top bid to pay Rebekah Long a $100 premium for her grand champion rabbits.

GRAND CHAMPION CHICKENS – St. Clair County State Bank paid Gage Fergerson a $225 premium on his grand champion chickens in the LOL Youth Fair auction. His grandparents, Roy and Gail Hale, posed with him for the photo.

GRAND CHAMPION GOAT – Cedar County Farm Bureau, represented by Don Boultinghouse, paid Cheyenne Lame a $225 premium on her grand champion goat in the LOL Youth Fair auction.

GRAND CHAMPION SHEEP – Community Bank of El Dorado Springs, represented by Bonnie White, paid Katelyn VanBummel a $300 premium on her grand champion sheep at the Land O Lakes Youth Fair Auction Friday night.

GRAND CHAMPION HOG – Stella Bahr exhibited the grand champion hog at the Land O Lakes Youth Fair last week. In the auction Friday night, Cubbage Feed, represented by Davola Garrett, paid Stella a $375 premium on her animal.
