Morning message at the Rockville United Church by Pastor Souza was entitled “Are You Distracted?” from Luke 10:34-42.

Mt. Zion Home Bible Study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with eight in attendance. Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. we invite you to join us. Call Tom for directions at 660-598-0477.

The Mt. Zion Club met in the home of Beverly Pelkey for an afternoon meeting. Time was spent working for the hostess; roll call was a favorite 4th of July. We will meet in August at the Fellowship Hall of the Rockville United Methodist Church with Julia Snethen hosting when we will celebrate our 90th birthday.

June Marshall attended the Roscoe school reunion Sunday; June taught several years at the school. June is making progress on getting her house back in order, just more stuff than room, knowing June all will go.

Visitors this past week in the home of Howard and Dixie Peterson were Donnie and Charlene Crayton. Saturday night the Petersons enjoyed supper at the deer camp with Kent Crawford and Beth, Mitchel, Jodi and Tucker Crawford.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey made a Wal-Mart run getting home before the shower. We had all the ingredients for a storm; wind, thunder and lightning but no rain in my area, but a few miles away they received an inch of rain.

Stacy Griffith and Dixie Peterson accompanied Marge Zink to the doctor in Overland Park, KS, on Friday. They went shopping at JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby, having lunch at Red Lobster making for a good day as Marge got a good report.

Congratulations to Rebecca and BreAnn Siegismund on winning first place at the Lip Sync contest at the El Dorado Springs Picnic Saturday.

Margie Siegismund and Cleta McEwan enjoyed the dinner theater in Kansas City, getting to be a habit.

Robin Siegismund baby guineas are baby no more. Their voices have changed from peep to guineas.

We wish Shirley McEwan a speedy recovery from her stay in the hospital.

Sunday afternoon visitors in the Marge and Stanley Zink home were Sheri Peterson from Garden City.

Julia Snethen spent a lot of time at the hospital getting tests done. John has been busy with the OATS Bus. We do know she will need one surgery but not sure about more.
