El Dorado Springs Special Road District empoyee, Carl Swager, told the board at the regular July 30 meeting that he, hopefully, will start patching the blacktop on First Street this week and proceed throughout the district.
He said he has been mowing, blacktop patching some and installing culverts.
All commissioners were present – Mike Bush, Ron Swopes and Lalan Cole – presiding. Also present were Swager and the district bookkeeper, Linda Breeden.
She reported that the board approved bills totaling $3,253.37 of which $849.18 was to the City of El Dorado Springs for its one quarter of the property tax revenue for the month of June.
Ms. Breeden reported that as of June 30, the district had total cash of $199,938.84. On July 30, the district had $191,591.90 with property tax receipts yet to be received for the month of July from Cedar County. Swager said a bill for about $18,000 was coming for road oil he received.
The board set the next meeting for 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the district headquarters buiding on South First Street. The later meeting is to accommodate vacation schedules.
