OFF TO THE RACES – Approximately 200 participants took off from the starting line for the 6th annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Run for a Reason. Locally, the annual run/walk has raised a total of $55,000 including this year’s recording breaking amount of $12,300. The event was established to promote awareness, advance treatments and support research involving childhood cancer through St. Jude’s. Local St. Jude patients Kholie Farran and Haleigh Ridgway served as honorary starters.
The Optimist club hosted a pancake breakfast and raised $690 for St. Jude.
