El Dorado Christian School is in need of score boards for their gymnasium. Fundraising is in progress to purchase these in memory of Travis Bryson, who passed away Nov. 9, as a result of a collision with a deer.

Travis was a teacher and athletic director at ECS and so much more. Besides being a friend and counselor to his students, he was program sound director, coach and bus driver. He was very talented in the areas of plumbing, carpentry and electrical work and did work for local residents when time allowed.

Travis left a wife and three daughter, ages 16, 13, and 11. He was so kind and giving, his friends would love to accomplish this project in his honor. Total cost is expected to be around $15,000. Donations can be made to his Go Fund Me site or to the Community Bank.

An additional fundraising project is planned for March 27 and 28. A garage sale will be held at the Christian School auditorium. Anyone having nice items they no longer need are asked to donate them for this cause. Quality clothing will be accepted.

Items can be dropped of a the school after 8 p.m. Thursday evening, March 26, or early Friday morning. For information about other drop-off locations and times, call 417/876-7467.
