The Cedar County Library – John D. Smith branch in El Dorado Springs has been closed to the public for over a week and will continue to be closed at until April 30, because of virus concerns, accord to Librarian Linda Jamison.

She said the staff will be there from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. cleaning and will answer the phone. She said the public can come to the parking lot, call in for a password and use the wi-fi. The board has not yet discussed or approved for the staff to carry books outside to customers.

Ms. Jamison said that book subscriptions can be renewed over the phone.
