Morning message at the Rockville United Church by Pastor Souza was entitled “Does Jesus bring division” from Luke 12: 49-56.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study met as our custom on the second Tuesday of the month at Joela Dains' home with 11 in attendance. Looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home, Call Tom, 660-598-0477, for more information.

Can you believe we are still having wonderful weather in the Mt. Zion area? Can it last much longer?

Mabel, Phillip, Susan and Maddie Siegismund visited relations in Nebraska last week, Maddie left for college on Sunday. Kids sure grow up fast; we wish her much success.

Tom Gregg spent several days visiting his bowling friends in Nevada.

Peggy Baldwin visited June Marshall so June and Peggy kept the roads hot shopping and visiting. Sunday, June attended the Masten reunion in El Dorado Springs. Enjoyed visiting and seeing relations you only see at reunions.

Stanley and Marge Zink entertained family and friends at dinner Sunday.

Beverly Pelkey is celebrating her birthday, which one we don’t know, last we heard it was 37. She started Saturday by going to Collins and eating at Smith’s. Her birthday was Aug. 19.

Howard and Dixie Peterson visited the Deer Camp Saturday night, visiting with Kent, Mitchel, Jodi and Tucker Crawford. Sunday they enjoyed a family dinner at the Zink’s.

Julia Snethen and granddaughter, Shella Akers, went to Nevada on Monday to get the machines fixed and have lunch at KFC with Pastor David Souza. Tuesday, husband, John, took her to Clinton. More doctors appointments with not good news but she is taking everything in stride, waiting for her surgery.
