ElDo Bulldogs best Skyline in softball shootout

Pitchers had a tough day during the away game Thursday, Aug. 29, between the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity and Skyline, as the two teams put up 25 runs combined in a 16-9 the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity win.

The teams combined for 24 hits, including three extra base hits.

The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs blew out Skyline thanks to 13 hits, including one extra base hit. The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs scored five runs in the fourth on a walk by Tandra Turner, a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Cameron McPeak, and an RBI single by Anyssa Salazar.

Madison Mays was solid at the plate for the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs. Madison Mays went 2-3, drove in one and scored three runs. She doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Tailor Hutsell got the win for the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity despite allowing eight runs over 4 1/3 innings. She struck out one, walked four and surrendered 10 hits.

El Dorado Springs hammered Skyline pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 13 hits, six RBIs and 14 runs scored.

El Dorado stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring four runs on an error and three steals of home.

El Dorado brought home five runs in the second inning and matched that run total in the fourth. In the second, the El Dorado scored on an RBI single by Anyssa, scoring Breanna Rhoads.
