Secretary of State Jason Kander is marking National Voter Registration Month by encouraging eligible Missourians to register to vote this September.
“I want to make sure all eligible Missourians have the opportunity to participate in our democracy,” Kander said. “I hope eligible Missourians take time this month to register to vote or, if already registered, check to make sure that their voter registration information is current and accurate.”
National Voter Registration Month takes place each September to remind and educate voters on registration deadlines and eligibility requirements prior to the November election. Missourians should ask their local election authority if they have a local election this Nov. 5.
The deadline for Missourians to register to vote or make registration changes in time for the November election is Oct. 9.
Missourians can find voter registration materials and contact information for their local election authority online at www.GoVoteMissouri.com. Additionally, paper registration forms are available at post offices, license offices and from local election authorities.
